All-Star Sports Training realizes the potential safety hazards of intense training programs and sport itself. Our initial evaluation session is designed to find biomechanical flaws, muscle imbalances, joint instabilities and faulty movement patterns. This allows our performance specialist to design a training protocol to correct each imperfection. When an athlete has finished our program, they can return to sport stronger, with less risk of injury.
FAQ
What does the Speed & Agility program include?
1. The first step in completing the Frappier Acceleration Speed Training (F.A.S.T) programs offered through All-Star Sports Training is to complete a strength, flexibility and gait evaluation with a facility trainer. This test evaluates every major muscle in your body to assess your strengths and weaknesses.
2. Once an evaluation has been completed and test results assessed, a trainer will formulate a training Program for you. Each athlete's training will include work with the Generation II Super Running Treadmill, plyometrics and strength training. Our patented Resistance Cords can be incorporated into your training as needed for your specific sport.
How many levels of training do you offer for the Running Program?
Each program includes its own specific components and levels. For example, the running acceleration program has five levels. Each level of training involves greater intensity. Athletes can continue making gains in their performance by either completing the levels in succession or coming back after the sport season to complete the next levels.
How does this Program compare to other conditioning programs?
The Frappier Acceleration programs are unique; there are no equivalent programs in the world. We use patented equipment designed for and used exclusively by our facility. The programs and protocols are scientifically designed and tested with input from exercise physiologists, orthopaedic surgeons, athletic trainers, physical and occupational therapists and other professionals. When followed according to these unique protocol designs, the Frappier Acceleration programs are guaranteed to improve an athlete's performance.
How are the FAST Programs different than what I can get from camps?
Camps provide athletes with specific skills related to a particular sport. Our programs focus on building speed, strength, quickness, jumping ability and overall conditioning. Simply put, our programs will make you a better athlete! While our price may be comparable to that of some sport-specific camps, an athlete training on our Programs will receive:
- Approximately 25 hours of time with trainers and exercise physiologists
- 6-8 weeks to understand and practice what is being learned
- Unlimited use of the training facility and equipment for 2-3 months
What can parents learn from the Frappier Acceleration Programs at All-Star Sports?
Parents are welcome to participate as much or as little as they choose in their child's training program. By observing their child's program they can learn about the biomechanics of the body and how the training sessions are conducted. Parents are then able to provide feedback and support to their child as they go through the training, even after the child has completed the program. In addition, parents who are interested in keeping their body in top condition for recreational sports/leagues can also participate by enrolling in a discounted gym membership.
Who is this Program for?
The Frappier Acceleration programs are for athletes of all ages (starting at age 8-10 years old depending on physical maturity). The Programs are individually modified for each athlete's abilities, so whether you are in junior high, high school, college, the professional leagues or a recreational athlete, you're sure to improve speed, strength, self-confidence and overall athletic performance. Our goal is to help every participant become a better athlete no matter what level they are at when they start the Program.
When should I begin the Program to prepare for my sport?
We recommend that athletes start the Program 8-10 weeks prior to the start of the sport season to allow time for rest before the sport begins. To achieve maximal gains, athletes must allow for 10-14 days of rest prior to season training. Best results are achieved when the training is not interrupted. Maintence programs are also alvailable, so athletes can continue progressing even during their season.
