Sergio Rivas
Tennis Instructor

Sergio's love for tennis began while he worked as a ball boy in Mexico City. He spent his days watching other players play tennis and was able to teach himself how to play from his self-discipline and determination. His dedication to the game was only enhanced when he moved to Bradenton, Florida and entered the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy in 1982. He received his formal training from Bollettieri and began teaching and working at the Academy soon after graduating from college.

Some 25 years later, Sergio continues to love and teach tennis. He has taught a number of well-known players on the West and East Coast and has become known as "Dr. Tennis." His keen eye and ability to focus on the mechanical aspect of the game allows him to help players prevent injuries. In addition, he is able to assist in the healing of injuries that have occurred from improper strokes. Sergio has the ability to help players improve their game by becoming more efficient and injury-free in a very short amount of time.

In addition to being a USPTA member for over 25 years, Sergio also holds a certificate in Fitness and Nutrition.
